Healthy Meal Prepping
I LOVE meal prepping these Salads In A Jar. They are my healthy fast food and allow me to make that healthy meal choice more often. Every Thursday is my Salad In A Jar prep day. My mom comes over brings her jars and we gather all of our ingredients. I do the chopping and prepping, and she does the jar stuffing and baby Jackson entertaining. It's a blast! We always laugh and have a great time hanging out together. Something I may otherwise not enjoy, is a very relaxed and special day because I get to hang out with my mom and we get to share health together.
It is recommended that we get 9-13 servings of fruits and vegetables every day. A serving is about a 1/2 cup. These salads allow me to get close to that number and because they are already prepped and ready to eat, making that healthy meal choice is easy. I get excited every day to eat my Salads In A Jar and they make me feel good. It's fun to switch up recipes but my go-to recipes are the Taco Salad, the Greek Salad, and the Apple Raisin Salad. I make a standard simple dressing for all the salads to keep it easy on myself by you can certainly change those up.
