Fitness Success through Failing
The Amazing Journey of Health and Fitness
Health and Fitness too often get defined as how a person looks. In order to understand that the definition is not about looks but about an internal peace and happiness, one must take and live the journey. After trying to workout at the gym blindly, with no real goals in mind, and was not physically or mentally satisfied, I decided to really dive into my health and fitness, do some major research, and make some real changes within my mind and my body. On July 9, 2014, I started a new health and fitness program to really take myself to the level where I wanted to be. I decided to REALLY change the things that I didn't like about my health, my nutrition, my lifestyle and not just talk about it. I was tired of how sluggish and exhausted I felt all the time, how uncomfortable my body was beginning to feel, and just how mentally "checked out" I was becoming. I stopped making excuses and put 110% into MYSELF! Of course there have been many struggles as well as many rewards in trying to balance life, fitness, and health, and I expect those struggles and rewards to continue as long as I continue to grow. It is a process and I am still trying to understand that success isn't based on how much money we have, how much weight we've lost, or even on just how much we've accomplished. Instead, success is truly based on how much we have failed in order to reach our accomplishments. Failure is part of the formula of success! The harder we fall, the stronger we are when we get up!
It is my goal to show the world that anyone can achieve and maintain their health and fitness goals even while living in the real world. Don't let your excuses get in the way of you reaching your goals. If there is an aspect of your life that you are not completely satisfied, you have every ability to change what you don't like and create something that you do. Your life isn't an excuse for not being fit and healthy, but a reason to become fit and healthy. It isn't just a dream or something that others have, it is an attainable lifestyle. You must focus on having health and fitness be at the forefront of your life, and not just an after thought. You can only be great if you believe and let yourself be great. Our bodies are capable of so much more then our brains let us believe. Keep trying, keep struggling, keep falling, and never give up!
